JUNE

Carmen is growing everyday and really developing her personality. She now weights, as of last week, 7lbs and 9 oz. Tomorrow we have to take her to the doctors due to what looks like conjunctivitis in her left eye, may not be but Chelsea will feel more comfortable having her looked at as soon as possible. When she called the doctor today they said to bring her in tomorrow morning at 10:30.

Yesterday the carpets were installed so Carmen’s room can now be put together; we will take pictures and send them along over the weekend.

Attached are two pictures. The first is a picture of Chelsea during Carmen’s feeding time and Mocha looking on hoping for attention. The second picture was just taken moments before this e-mail, she’s growing everyday and as you can see pretty content relaxing and talking with mom.

Chelsea and I took Carmen to the doctors today and found out that she has a block tear duct which we are told is common in infants and typically will occur prior to a baby turning one month old. They put her on an antibiotic which we have to put in her eye four times a day. They weighted her and she is now 8 lbs and 3 oz. I’ve attached some close up pictures of Carmen so you can see how she is changing. The last picture is just to confirm for you that she does have her crying times J. It’s not all the smiles like the ones I send to you

June 27, 2008 Chelsea and Billy had their first date after having their new addition to the family. They went to the movies and Grammy was able to watch Carmen. Carmen was really good, cried some as it was her fussy time but as you can see from the first two pictures went to sleep after her bottle and rested comfortably.

June 28, 2008 Grammy got Carmen up and let Chelsea and Billy sleep in after their night out. Carmen had a sponge bath and then played in her chair. Soon Chelsea was up and Carmen went to her mommy.
